Current URC Growth Groups

What they’re all about:

In everything we do here at URC, we want to work towards the following vision: URC is a Bible teaching and praying church, ministering to our neighbors, the campus, the nations, and the unreached people of the world. In order for this vision to become a reality, we need opportunities outside of Sunday morning to study the Bible together, pray together, minister to one another, and minister to those around us. The growth group ministry seeks to provide some of those opportunities.

We call them “growth groups” because they are designed to be an environment in which individuals grow, community grows, and numbers grow as we reach out to those around us. Every growth group will be different, and each growth group will define its own particular purpose and function. In general, growth groups will meet at least bi-weekly, have some component of Bible study and prayer, and will be continually open to new people to the point that the group would eventually divide into two groups. This way, we will continually have a place in which to connect those not yet a part of our URC family.

Numerical growth is not necessarily the goal of the growth group ministry. However, we do believe that as we invite those around us to be part of our growth groups, we will see those from our neighborhoods, the campus, the nations and the unreached people of the world become a part of the community at URC.
